After taking a degree in Modern Languages (German and French) at Oxford, Margaret May spent most of her career as a non-fiction academic editor.
She has a long-standing in literary translation, and a few years ago she gained the CIOL Diploma in Translation. In 2018 she completed an MRes degree at the University of London’s Institute of Modern Languages Research with a dissertation on an aspect of German-Jewish literature, and since then has continued her research on the work of Barbara Honigmann.
