Jen Calleja

Jen Calleja is a writer and literary translator from German.

She has translated fiction, non-fiction, and poetry by Wim Wenders, Kerstin Hensel, Marion Poschmann, Gregor Hens and Michelle Steinbeck, among others, and her translations have been featured in The New Yorker and The White Review. Her translation of Kerstin Hensel’s Dance by the Canal was shortlisted for the Schlegel-Tieck Prize 2018 and her translation of Marion Poschmann’s The Pine Islands was shortlisted for the Man Booker International Prize 2019.

Her debut poetry collection Serious Justice (2016) was published by Test Centre, and her poetry pamphlet Hamburger in the Archive (2019) came out from if a leaf falls press.

Jen was No Man’s Land‘s Guest Poetry Editor for the 2017 edition.     [2020]
