Stan Lafleur * 1968 in Karlsruhe. Lives in Cologne as a writer and spoken-word performer. Published the literature and art magazine elektropansen (1994 – 1998). In 1997 initiated the Cologne Sprechecke (Speaker’s Corner) in the Stadtgarten, a forum for literature and speech in the public sphere marked by a stone designed by cathedral sculptor Michael Oster. In August 2001 (with Achim Wagner and Enno Stahl) founded the Rheinische Brigade, a writers’ group with the aim of reviving the classic role of the author as a politically and socially active subject. Member of the Forum der 13, an internet authors’ platform. Collaborator on jazz musician Matthias Mainz’s interdisciplinary REALTIME RESEARCH project. (2006)
