REBECCA DEWALD is a freelance translator with a PhD in Translation Studies from the University of Glasgow, working from German, French and Spanish into English and into German. She has published articles on Jorge Luis Borges and modernist translations, questioning the maintenance of a strict distinction between original works and translations. She edits the Glasgow Review of Books and contributes to PEN Translates, New Books in German,> 12 Swiss Booksand the SALSA collective. Some of her literary translations have been published by the Free Word Centre and can be found on her website.
