Rachel Farmer lives in Bristol, UK, and works as a translator, conference interpreter and editor.
Her literary translations have been published in Asymptote, No Man’s Land and SAND literary journals, and in the anthology Elemental from Two Lines Press.
Her translation of an extract of In Foreign Lands, Trees Speak Arabic by Usama Al Shahmani was published in 2022 as part of the +SVIZRA series from Strangers Press. In 2020 she was longlisted for the John Dryden Translation Competition and was runner up in the Austrian Cultural Forum London Translation Prize. She also writes book reviews for Lunate magazine.
