Peggy Neidel was born in Zwickau and studied German Literature and Modern History in Düsseldorf. She is a co-founder of the Literaturclub Düsseldorf and has worked as a freelance journalist and critic for the newspapers Freitag, taz, and radio broadcast Deutschlandfunk, among others. Her first collection of poetry, weiß, in the series Neue Lyrik, (published by poetenladen Verlag, Fall 2013) was selected as one of the best poetry debuts in 2013 by the literary critic Dorothea von Törne and presented at the Literaturwerkstatt Berlin. Based on the collection, the author was nominated for the Ulla Hahn Author Award 2014. Most recently, she received a work scholarship for literature from the state North Rhine-Westphalia and published poetry in newspapers and literary magazines. The collection of poetry by Keith Waldrop entitled Gravitationen includes her translations and will be published by Luxbooks in November 2014. (2014)
