Paul Brodowsky 1980 in Kiel, lives in Berlin. Studied “Creative Writing and Cultural Journalism” in Hildesheim and New York. Co-founder and editor (until 2004) of the literary magazine BELLA triste. Writes short prose, stories, plays and radio plays, publishing in many different literary magazines and anthologies. His book debut Milch Holz Katzen, a collection of prose miniatures, was published by Suhrkamp Verlag, Frankfurt am Main, in 2002. He also acted as the initiator and artistic co-director of the literature festival PROSANOVA, which presented young writers for four days in May 2005 in Hildesheim. At present he is the recipient of a one-year grant from the Deutscher Literaturfonds. In winter 2005/06 he was Writer in Residence at the Deutsches Haus, New York University. (2006)
