Margit Mössmer

Margit Mössmer, born 1982 in Hollabrunn (Niederösterreich, Austria), studied theatre, film, media and Hispanic studies. She was editor and head of department at Freies Magazin FM5 and has been working at quartier21/MuseumsQuartier Wien since 2007. She has been published widely in magazines. Excerpts from her debut novel Die Sprachlosigkeit der Fische (2015) were awarded the WÖRTER.See prize for literature. The entire novel was nominated for the prestigious Austrian Franz Tumler Prize for debut novels. Mössmer was awarded a start-up scholarship for literature by the Austrian Federal Chancellery and a Hans Weigel scholarship for literature. She lives in Vienna.
