Jan Wagner

Jan Wagner * 1971 in Hamburg. Poet, translator of poetry from the English (including Charles Simic, James Tate, Simon Armitage, Jo Shapcott, Louis MacNeice, Kevin Young). Studied English and American studies in Hamburg, Dublin and Berlin. Worked as a freelance reviewer for various newspapers (ex. Frankfurter Rundschau and Tagesspiegel) and co-published the international literature box DIE AUSSENSEITE DES ELEMENTES until 2003. He has lived in Berlin since 1995. (2011)
