Emma Braslavsky * in Erfurt in 1971, is married and has a daughter. She lived in Italy, USA, Russia, Vietnam and Israel before settling in Berlin, where she works as a writer, translator and curator. Her first novel Aus dem Sinn won the Uwe-Johnson-Förderpreis in 2007 and the 1st Franz-Tumler-Debütpreis.
