Christoph Wenzel was born in 1979 in Hamm/Westphalia, studied German and English literature and worked as a writer and editor in Aachen. He is a volunteer board member of the literature office Euregio Maas-Rhein and co-editor of the literary magazine [SIC]. He has received a number of literary awards and his work has appeared in numerous magazines (such as Edit, Das Gedicht, intendenzen, mare, lauter niemand) and anthologies (including Jahrbuch d. Lyrik, Lyrik von JETZT zwei, Neubuch, Quellenkunde, Versnetze, Der Deutsche Lyrikkalender). In 2005 his poetry collection zeit aus der karte was published (Rimbaud Verlag); his second collection will appear soon from yedermann Verlag. (2009)
