Anja Jardine * was born in Pinneberg (near Hamburg) in 1967. After studying business and journalism she worked as a filmmaker for Radio Bremen Fernsehen and as a writer for the business magazine Brand Eins. Since 2005 she’s been a contributing editor for the Neue Zürcher Zeitung Folio. Her short story Badjnars Augen was awarded the Bettina-von-Arnim prize. Her collection of short stories, Als der Mond vom Himmel fiel, was shortlisted for the 2008 Schweizer Buchpreis. (2014)
