Kornelia Koepsell

Kornelia Koepsell is a German-language poet. She was born in 1955 in Giessen in the state of Hessen, and now lives in Würzburg in Bavaria.

She studied sociology and psychology in Frankfurt am Main. During this period, she also took evening classes in drawing. She was awarded a doctorate in developmental psychology and worked in child psychiatry at the University Hospital in Frankfurt.

In 1989, she took up a post at the University of Würzburg and trained as a psychoanalyst. She has had her own practice since 1997.

She has published three volumes of poetry (Weißes Rauschen: Gedichte, Epiphanien: Gedichte and Die Mundharmonika) as well as poems in various journals and anthologies.            (2021)
