Henning Ahrens (born 1964), a writer and translator in Peine, Germany, is the author of three volumes of poetry, Lieblied was kommt (1998), Stoppelbrand (2000), and Kein Schlaf in Sicht (2008); three novels, Lauf Jäger lauf (2002), Langsamer Walzer (2004), and Tiertage (2007); and other literary publications. He has won numerous prizes, including the Wolfgang Weyrauch Prize for Literary Achievement, the Pro-Litteris Prize, the Friedrich Hebbel Prize, and the Nicolas Born Prize.
