Eva Menasse, born in 1970 in Vienna, began her journalism work with Profil in Vienna. She became editor of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, covering the trial of the Holocaust-denier David Irving in London, and wrote a book about it. Following a stay in Prague, she worked as the cultural correspondent in Vienna. She has lived since 2003 in Berlin as a freelance writer. Her debut novel, Vienna, was greeted with great success from critics and readers. Lässliche Todsünden, published by Kiepenheuer & Witsch, appeared in 2009. (2011)
