Christoph Ransmayr, born in 1953 in Wels, Austria, has published a number of novels, including Die Schrecken des Eises und der Finsternis (The Terrors of Ice and Darkness, 1984), Die letzte Welt (The Last World, 1988) and Morbus Kitahara (The Dog King, 1995). He was awarded the Ernst-Toller Prize in 2013 for his most recent novel Atlas eines ängstlichen Mannes (2012). (2013) |
