Tim Krohn was born in the Federal Republic of Germany in 1965, but moved to Switzerland the following year, growing up in Glarus. He began studying Philosophy, German and Politics but interrupted his studies in 1994 and has been working as a freelance writer in Zurich ever since. Krohn has published numerous books, plays and audio books and has been awarded various prizes, such as the Conrad-Ferdinand-Meyer-Preis in 1994 and the Glarner Kulturpreis for the canton of Glarus in 2011. His novel Aus dem Leben einer Matratze bester Machart was published in 2014, followed by Nachts in Vals in 2015.
