Janin Wölke

Janin Wölke was born in 1982 in Berlin and grew up in its Friedrichshain district; she currently lives in Leipzig. Since 2010, she has been working on the project “Daydreamer Dress,” using poetry as graffiti and as an intervention in public space. She also collaborates musically with the electro duo Ponyrony. Since 2011, she has co-organized the Niemerlang reading series. She studies at the German Literature Institute in Leipig. Her poems have appeared in außer.dem, poetenladen, poet, ostragehege, and Jahrbuch der Lyrik 2015. Her debut collection was passiert wirklich, wenn wir stolpern? (what really happens when we stumble) was released by Hochroth Verlag Berlin in 2014.
