Christine Marendon

Christine Marendon

Christine Marendon (1964–) grew up in Bavaria speaking both German and Italian. She studied Italian in Erlangen and Siena, and graduated in 1999 with a paper on Italian women writers in the 19th century. After working as a translator and publicist for some years in her native Bavaria, she now lives in Hamburg where she works with children with special needs. Her work has been published online and in a number of magazines and anthologies. As a translator, she has made German versions of poems by James Wright.
