Tony Frazer * 1951, is the editor
of Shearsman magazine and publisher of Shearsman Books, one
of the UK's busiest poetry publishers. His own publications include A
State of Independence (anthology, Stride Publications, 1998), Roy
Fisher's Interviews Through Time (editor, Shearsman Books, 2000). With
Andrew Duncan, he co-edited the poetry
selection for Chicago Review's New Writing in German anthology (2002).
His most recent German translations have been of Sabine Scho, Anja Utler
and Albert Ostermaier (the latter for the Carcanet Press anthology, After
Brecht: A Celebration, edited by Karin Leeder). He also translates
Latin American poetry, and his version of Vicente Huidobro's long prose
poem Sky Tremor will appear in issue 3 of Fascicle at the end of
2006. Future plans include a Selected Poems by the Mexican poet Elsa Cross.
