Silke
Scheuermann was born in 1973 in Karlsruhe, Germany, and lives in
Frankfurt. She studied Drama and Literature in Frankfurt, Leipzig and
Paris. In 2001 she was awarded the Leonce-und Lena Prize for her previous
collection, Der Tag an dem die Möwen zweistimmig sangen (The
Day on which the Sea Gulls sang in Two Parts), which Joachim Sartorius
referred to as "Probably the most successful debut of a new lyric
voice in recent years." (Süddeutsche Zeitung). She recently
published her first novel, Die Stunde zwischen Hund und Wolf (The
Hour Between Dog and Wolf). (2007)
