Nedra Eileen Bickham is a translator, musician,
teacher, and explorer of the unique coexistence of language and music.
Her translations of short stories by the German author Julia Franck and
poems by Andreas Randow have appeared, respectively, in Passport: The
Arkansas Review of Literary Translation and Perihelion Poetry Journal.
She also has a translation of Julia Franck's short story "Streuselschnecke"
forthcoming in the journal Absinthe: New European Writing in Fall
2007. In September 2007, she will begin working on her M.A. degree in
German Literature at Tufts University in Boston, MA.
