Lars-Arvid Brischke was born in Dresden in 1972 and studied energy technology at the Technical University in Berlin, later working in the field, since 2010 as a Senior Scientist at the ifeu - Institut für Energie- und Umweltforschung in Berlin. In 1997 he co-founded the poetry group "Die Freuden des jungen Konverters" in Berlin, and he is also a member of the internet literature forum www.forum-der-13.de. He has published poetry in numerous magazines and anthologies and been a finalist in a number of competitions, including the Open Mike Competition of the Literaturwerkstatt Berlin in 2000 and 2004.
