Chantal Wright studied literary translation at the University of East Anglia in the UK and is an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is the recipient of an award from PEN American Center's 2009 Translation Fund in support of her translation of Tzveta Sofronieva's collection of poetry Eine Hand voll Wasser. The Banff Centre also supported the translation in the form of a residency at the Banff International Literary Translation Centre in 2009. (2010)
