Birgit
Kreipe was born in Hildesheim and grew up in the countryside before
studying psychology and German literature in Marburg, Vienna and Göttingen.
Since 1994 she has lived in Berlin as a writer, bookseller and psychotherapist.
She is a member of several writers' groups, has published in various magazines
and anthologies, most recently in erostepost, Ostragehege,
lauter niemand, Brücke and Matrix, and participated
in numerous readings, most recently poet's corner / Poesiefestival Berlin
2009.
